It is essential to exercise caution and conduct deep research before engaging with any online trading platform, including ExBank.ca.

Is ExBank.ca Legit or a Scam?

When researching an online broker, the first and most important step should always be to find out if they have a regulatory license from a financial institution. This will tell you whether they are regulated by a central authority or if you are dealing with an offshore and/or unregulated investment company.

Unfortunately, ExBank.ca is not regulated or authorized to operate by any major regulatory authority, which means it will be a difficult process to withdraw from this company if they decide to ignore your request or suspend your account for trivial reasons.

If a broker is not licensed by the regulatory authority in your jurisdiction, that likely means they are unregulated and should be avoided. Even if the brokerage is regulated, it is best to avoid it if the regulator happens to be outside your jurisdiction.

  1. Exbank.ca is a SCAM!
Do not invest with them or you will regret it just like me. They will start you slow and call you everyday to encourage you to invest more money with them to “Diversify” your portfolio. They will ask that all your deposit be done through bank wire transfer to an online exchange platform in my case (Gemini) where you need to transfer the dollars into USDC to be sent to your account. They will allow for small withdrawals (mine were under $7,000) but all of a sudden, your equity will balloon (mine went well over $1M) and when I asked to withdraw money from my account, they told me that they had to collect a tax to pay to my government. Well I live in Canada and no one has to “Pay” a tax to get access to their capital gain. The investment company may deduct the tax from the withdrawn amount at the source, but paying out of pocket money to access your investment money??????? That is a scam/fraud and sounds more like extortion/blackmail. So DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Some of the names of people I dealt with are:
    Michael J Schwartzman
    Toni R Brown
    Roy Klibanski
    Adam something
